General animal care
Contributions support daily animal care, including food, shelter, veterinary attention, maintenance, and related operating needs. An animal page may explain what inspired a contribution, but it does not restrict the funds exclusively to that animal.
Completed contributions
Completed contributions are final and non-refundable except where required by law or where Held in Care determines that a charge was duplicate, unauthorized, or made in error. Report a payment concern promptly using the contact information on the payment receipt.
Monthly support
Monthly support continues until canceled. You may stop future renewals before the next billing date through the billing-management link made available with your payment record or by contacting Held in Care. Cancellation applies to future charges and does not retroactively refund a completed payment. No prorated refund is promised.
Currency and receipts
Amounts are presented and processed in United States dollars. The hosted payment service supplies the authoritative payment receipt. Held in Care may also send a separate acknowledgment.
Tax status
The site does not represent that a contribution is tax-deductible or that Held in Care has any particular nonprofit or charitable status. Supporters should rely only on separately verified written information about tax treatment.
